What's going on?

There's plenty going on even though the felling season has finished. The Nether Hall Wood team have welcomed several members from the Hartshorne Scout Group. A bat detector was installed, squirrel survey was carried out, and being involved with a national project run by Stirling University.

There's plenty going on even though the felling season has finished. There are two organised session at Heartwood HQ where we run craft sessions and there's always the opportunity to run one or both charcoal retorts, check the Heartwood HQ section in the members area of the website.

This season has been a real challenge with lots of variables making session planning interesting to say the least! I’m glad to say that through the efforts of the committee we are now set fair to complete the season well and indeed next season should be a great deal smoother.

The weeks have flown by and we now find ourselves in in the middle of April. We'd like to thank all our members for you continued support and have a well deserved break now the felling season has finished.

February and now March sessions are seeing an increase in the number of members go on the waiting lists, which is good as this shows us that there is more demand for sessions that we are currently offering.
